Organizations that are actively seeking individuals with the requisite skills and experience who are willing, on a voluntary basis without remuneration, to recount fables, legends or folk tales from around the world or tell anecdotes that are drawn from their own life experience to groups of school children, library patrons, residents of nursing or assisted living facilities or other people served by the agency. The material may be comical, whimsical or serious and audience participation may be solicited. Storytelling volunteers may also be asked to perform at fundraising events for the organization.
