Description:

The Early Learning Coalition of Pasco and Hernando Counties, Inc. is charged with ensuring that children, aged birth to 12-years, are provided with a quality educational foundation. The Coalition administers the School Readiness program for working families with low-to-moderate income levels, as well as the State of Florida's Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program for all 4-year-olds. The Coailition's Child Care Resource and Referral program offers free information and referral services to all families seeking quality early care and School Readiness programs and out of school time solutions.
Families in need of subsidized child care or the VPK program must apply through the Coalition's website.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Intake Process:

Both School Readiness and VPK enrollments are done online through the Coalition's website at www.phelc.org.
Documents that will be needed: Picture ID, SS card, birth certificate, proof of residency, proof of income.

Sliding scale.

Eligibility:

- The Resource and Referral program is free to all families.
- For the VPK program, children must turn 4-years-old on or before September 1st.
- For the school readiness program, parents/guardians must be working or participating in an educational activity (attending college or trade school) at least 20 hours per week; families must pay a co-payment for child care based on income and family size; gross income must be be at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty level for family size.
